I don't remember not being allowed in Grandma's bedroom and I don't remember climbing aorund Grandpa's truck. I feel like I remember everything about Grandpa's room. Every time I see chocolate covered cherries I think of him. I remember vividly the carpet with worn paths and the curtains in the room we always stayed. I thought the strawberry pie was always just for me since I didn't like pumpkin or cherry pies.Jesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13877724040323096673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6721519515546213158.post-1687920339042216362012-07-03T11:01:56.559-07:002012-07-03T11:01:56.559-07:00Thanks so much! It was always a really tough choice for me...

My grandma smelled like talc which will forever give me an instant flashback to climbing out of the tub in her bathroom.Hannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00407983505191834685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6721519515546213158.post-32251278166183324162012-07-03T10:58:20.074-07:002012-07-03T10:58:20.074-07:00Thanks for your kind words. Isn't it funny how smells and touch are such a strong part of our memories. I can still remember the smell of my Grandad's cologne and that's probably the strongest memory I have of him.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16362419195880646599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6721519515546213158.post-63976132664727979632012-07-01T15:56:44.161-07:002012-07-01T15:56:44.161-07:00This is beautifully written Hanna! I also know all about ghost runners, and am glad you also enjoyed their benefits as a child. Now my mind is running in a million different directions, recalling memories I hold dear.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
