The last couple of months have been difficult ones at work. I have had more than my share of feeling bored, under-used, and stagnant. I don't have a clear idea of what my dream job would be right now, so it's hard to set any particular goals when it comes to finding a new job.
However, in my times of future need, I will keep in mind the email I just received from the head of our block party planning committee, where she (in reference to my having done balloon animals for the neighborhood kids at last year's party---thanks to my beloved *heavy with sarcasm* fiancé's volunteering me) asked me if I was interested in making money by offering my "skills" to her "local mom's yahoo group" (500 strong) as the neighborhood balloon animal birthday party gal.
Phew, a backup plan...
And though there is sarcasm here, it should be read as gentle sarcasm. I thought it was lovely of her to think of me and to take the time to let me know about it.
